Communicable or infectious diseases are illnesses that can be transmitted from an infected individual to another person, either through direct contact or indirectly via various means. These diseases result from the presence and activity of pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, helminth worms, and other microorganisms. The transmission of these pathogens can occur through various modes, contributing to the spread of infections within populations.

Noncommunicable or Non-infectious diseases.

Noncommunicable or Non-infectious diseases cannot be spread from an infected person to a healthy individual, either through direct or indirect means.
