Symptoms of typhoid:
1. Initial Signs:
Chills, sweating, and weakness may manifest in the early stages.
2. Fever and Gastrointestinal Issues:
High fever, skin rashes, dehydration, constipation, and stomach pain are common.

Weight loss, muscle aches, and loss of appetite contribute to overall health deterioration.
4. Advanced Symptoms:
Severe headache, delirium/hallucinations, and an extremely swollen abdomen may occur in the later stages.
Transmission of typhoid:
1. Typhoid and paratyphoid fevers spread through contaminated food or water.
2. Transmission occurs via fecal contamination from infected individuals.
3. People with the diseases or chronic carriers can contaminate food/water.
4. Consuming contaminated items is a common route of infection.

There are two vaccine for the prevention of typhoid :
1. There are two commonly used typhoid vaccines: Ty21a, administered orally, and Vi polysaccharide, given parenterally.
2. Ty21a and Vi polysaccharide are the two main typhoid vaccines, with Ty21a administered orally and Vi polysaccharide given through injection.
